In 1950, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar decided to establish     “Milind Mahavidyalaya” in Aurangabad. The foundation stone of Milind Mahavidyalaya was laid down by the First President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad on 1st Sept 1951. Flocks of students from all over Maharashtra rushed to take education in Milind Mahavidyalaya. To streamline their academic and administrative ways    Milind Mahavidyalaya was bifurcated as Milind college of Arts and Milind College of Science in 1963.

The heritage building of Milind Mahavidyalaya has huge classrooms, spacious and well ventilated laboratories. Further, it provides various facilities such as well equipped sports complex, Gymnasium Hall, Subhedar Ramji Ambedkar Auditorium for cultural activities, Ajantha Boys Hostel, Pradnya girls Hostel to provide accommodation for boys and girls. The library of the college has a rich collection of books referred and written by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar along with historical, religious and regular academic text as well as reference books. The college also pays equal attention on curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities through ‘N.S.S.’, ‘N.C.C.’ ‘Earn and Learn’ and ‘Adult and Continuing Education’ programs offered by the university along with substantial emphasis on sports and cultural activities.

Milind College of Science is fostering a tradition of Educate, Unite and Agitate among the students. As a result we have academically rich alumni all over the country and abroad. Up to this date, Milind College of Science, Aurangabad has produced innumerable leaders, social workers/reformers, educationists, scientists, etc.
